From blogger JoeMyGod's Joe Jervis comes this amusing tidbit:
Manhattan nightlife and sex party promoter Daniel Nardicio is reporting on his Facebook page that Iris Robinson's boytoy, the now 21 years old Kirk McCambley, has signed to do a photo-layout for Playgirl.
Nardicio also handled Levi Johnston's hotly awaited, but poorly received photo spread for the title. Since the scandal broke, McCambley has become a minor sensation in the UK, fielding offers from the gay glossy Attitude and becoming the subject of numerous Facebook fan pages, where "Team Kirk" T-shirts are now being sold.

Quite some time ago I read somewhere that Playgirl published its final issue about one year ago. Maybe I misunderstood or maybe I mis-remember.

The paradox has often been noted that the United States, founded in secularism, is now the most religiose country in Christendom, while England, with an established church headed by its constitutional monarch, is among the least. (Richard Dawkins, 2006)

Shalom JFR! Like many media companies, Playgirl suffered from declining advert revenue and poor circulation. Then, in what has now become typical in the print media industry, in August 2008, the magazine announced that it would cease publication of its print edition as of the January 2009 issue. After that point, the magazine continued with an online-only 'pay-to-view' edition. [ For example, Window Media announced last fall that its flagship magazine 'The Advocate' would be combined with 'Out' and cease publication as a stand alone venture. ]
The Website is here: http://www.playgirl.com/Preview.php
Unfortunately, it has succumbed to being a rather poor parody of its former self and doesn't have a fraction of the draw that comparable LGBT themed adult sites do.
Here is a picture from the infamous Levi Johnston layout courtesy of Playgirl.com.

Please everyone,be very careful when uploading pictures that might jeopardize our standing with the company that houses our server. Brody, please edit your post so that the picture is removed or replaced with one that is less 'problematic'.
In the meanwhile, since Body is so upset by my request, I have discussed the matter with Tim - who is not able at this time to view the picture itself. He suggests leaving the picture - at least until he can see it for himself.
I am going to delete Brody's response which is no longer relevant.

I am unconcerned about all except one aspect of the content. The image is obviously another's copyright. I have no licence to publish it, but the post is your responsibility so I ask you, do you have a licence to publish it?
If so I have no objection, if not then I must object because I cannot risk the site being prejudiced because of copyright issues.

I would like to remind us all that I have complete confidence in the mystery moderator.
His decisions may be different from mine or the same as mine, but that is unimportant. All it means is that the forum is in hands which will make decisions.
Agree or disagree with those decisions with pleasure in the same way that you agree or disagree with my own.
