The tale of three ABBA-loving Aussie drag queens who take their show on the road through the Australian outback is headed to North America. Adapted from the Oscar-winning 1994 film, Priscilla Queen of The Desert, The Musical is set to open on Broadway March 6, 2011.
The West End cast currently includes Oliver Thornton (as Felicia/Adam), Jason Donovan (as Mitzi/Tick), and Don Gallagher (as Bernadette), but it isn’t known whether the British actors will repeat their roles in the Broadway production.

Wowieee, I remember that film quite well. I can truthfully say I have never been a big fan of drag, but in the film and on a stage like this I would enjoy it. ABBA, groan, I was glad when that era passed, but a look back wouldn't be so bad. I'd go see the musical.
