We all know that navels come in two varieties - innies and outies. I am sure there is someone here who can explain what happens to the umbilical cord at birth so that some develop with one and some develop with the other.

What are your preferences? I prefer the innie, probably for no other reason than I have an outie.

Okay Nigel, I'll admit to some bias, but here is my youngest son's belly button which with a father's pride I'll say is quite cute & masculine as well. Oh and I have NO bloody clue why he & his boyfriend took this shot either....*sigh*
