OK I am laughing at the postings from some of you after watching the young gymnasts on Britan's Got Talent (I know where some of you will be on May first when the show resumes, I'll probably catch up with it too)
It's not their age, they're legal. Although wonderful eye candy I always wonder what I would have in common with someone so young. In a role playing situation such as teacher and student there is a defined relationship, a whole body of knowledge to discuss. But socially...I don't even understand their music these days.
Over the years I find attractive men I'd like to meet in the media, both gay and straight. People I could talk to about a whole range of things. Michael Douglas, the film star is one of them. A small tease of a story about him appeared just today:
http://www.nydailynews.com/gossip/2010/04/26/2010-04-26_michael_douglas_was_seduced_at_sixteen_by_two_of_his_mothers_friends_who_were_bo.html
OK, most 16 year old boys would consider themselves lucky for such an experience. But Douglas is a known womanizer, wonder if that past experience had anything to do with it? He's settled down now, married with kids, but it was his final comment that made me laugh. Given the chance to choose just one more indescretion he would sleep with Tina Turner.
I laugh, she's still a hot sexy lady for 70 years of age. The very poster gal for elderly sexy mommas, and a very great talent. I met her once, saw her perform many times. The last time she was 40 years old, it was 1981 and the opening of the first Gay Games in San Francisco. What an unreal event. 20,000 gay and lesbian people all screaming for Tina, yeah...eat your heart out Mr. Douglas. ;-D

Well Chris,
My sexy older man was the late Jimmy Stewart. I just loved the man. He was just an all around nice guy.
Many years ago, I had a relationship with a guy who reminded me of Jimmy ; his manner of speaking was similar, having also overcome his stutter...almost.
But yes, I would like to hear other's ideas of sexy older men. Perhaps there are some I've failed to notice in my etherial pursuit of youth.

Anderson Cooper is mine. He has a news program at CNN. While not openly gay per se, he is known to date young , model-looking guys. The man has good taste . It is a shame he doesn't openly talk about his sexuality. However, I don't think people over at CNN would approve of him doing so.

... in a lottery of whom will likely openly come out May 5.
I had no idea that he was supposed to be gay in the first place; but, then again, the other candidates (none of whom I can recall from the article the other day) weren't on my radar either. Go figure!

If you check out Out's Magazine 100 most influencial gay people, he should be on it. He neither denies or confirms his sexuality.

... not being a follower of Out magazine, I would never have known this; on the other hand, I don't follow most celebrity stories either, believing that they are entitled to a degree of privacy, and I won't feed into that culture by supporting it.
Why I followed the story I did about the lottery, I'll never know; it was a featured "news" item, not entertainment or celebrity, so I guess that sums it up.
Further, from what I know of the culture of The Bronfman Family and their sundry holdings, I don't figure that Mr. Cooper's sexuality would be much of an issue with their CNN subsidiary; as Canadian-owned or -held Corporations, they, and their holdings, have a fiduciary, if not moral, responsibility to comply with Canadian Law, and under our Law diversity is the rule, not the exception.

Having read much of the Beat literature, I fell in love with Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg. I would not have been accepted into their sphere but I could always fantasize.

What about Matthew Parris, Chris? He not only looks good but he is so very nice as a person. It shines through in his broadcasts. Have you ever listened to his 'Great Lives' series, anyone?
Love,

Matthew Parris, I had to look him up on Google. I doubt if many Americans know too many English journalists, I certainly don't. But he was worth looking up, handsome guy, you have good taste. ;-D

... but I wanted to show you a short clip - a commercial on Israeli TV. The soldier who draws the straw may be young but I think he is really sexy. (Ignore the short introductory clip.)

OK I watched the clip...it made me feel good so you're forgiven for the highjack
I know the military here takes soldiers from 17 to 25, the cream of the crop in my estimation. If only the resolution of conflict could be as easy as shown in that little clip.
We need to celebrate our similarities and put aside the differences, youth has a way of doing that. But they always end up fighting the battles wrought by bitter old men.

... female Country and Western singer Chely Wright; whoever the hell she is!
The story is detailed through the link below, in an advance media release for her forthcoming "tell-all" biography "Like Me".

So now you all know; and so do I.
I'm sort of let down it wasn't Anderson Cooper, as had been suggested elsewhere here, and as he was after all short-listed in the top-10 of the lottery. Not really knowing who he was (any more than I really know who she is either) I endeavoured to catch a couple of his Television shows on CNN, and I do have to admit that he comes across as being quite charming and he is certainly sexy enough to warrant all the buzz.
