I got given a leaflet today by some idiot whitey. It was from The Family. Its a load of bollocks about tere being only three and a half years until the end of the world, or, presumably, a couple of weeks if you are in Greece.

So I looked them up.

http://www.thefamily.org/dossier/charter/rules.htm is interesting

They are an odd buch of bigots, this lot. They do like sex! Check rules C and D! And then amuse yourself with rule B.

... but far and away not the oddest you or I have ever seen; although I have to admit to not having encountered them thus far, or at the very least I don't think I have. Interesting that they have published their Membership rules and regulations on-line. I have to be wondering what it is that they feel such a need to be so transparent about.

On the other hand, and this being from an oriental as apposed to occidental perspective, I would think that from the time when the very first Missionaries washed-up upon any of the Asian landscapes spouting which ever brand of Christianity they espoused, they were all considered "nutters", and I can't imagine that that has changed much in the many centuries in the interval.

The Family is the group that is behind the "kill the Gays" bill in Uganda.

... in the thread which follows, I think maybe it would be politic were I to re-examine my own thoughts about this group; and, revise my statement to read the following additional coment:

Apparently "The Family" are not so benign after all given their reported involvement with the Ugandan "Kill Gays" Bill.

If I'd remembered that I would have had a discussion with the idiot who gave me the leaflet.

Still, only three and a half years to go before the end of the world!
