... according to David Gibson, as reported in his column at politicsdaily.com just before midnight last night in his article entitled:

Ted Haggard Is Back: Gay Sex, Drug Scandal Can't Keep Evangelical Leader Down

Sounds like the Second Coming.

Anyway, the venture should generate oodles of dollars for this entrepreneur.

The paradox has often been noted that the United States, founded in secularism, is now the most religiose country in Christendom, while England, with an established church headed by its constitutional monarch, is among the least. (Richard Dawkins, 2006)

I see Ted Haggard as a pathetic individual, a man who can't even "save" himself.

I imagine that when you base your life on reading only one book, it is a pretty Good Book for a historical novel, but just too narrow minded for those who think it has all the answers...well Poor Ted is stuck with only one kind of employment.

I doubt he's much of a multi-tasker, maybe that's why he took drugs to give himself the illusion and confidence with a man before he went home to the wife. And why is it all the women end up writing the tell all book? I think the man brings new definition to the word hypocrite :-/

... according to the article, his "new" Ministry is apparently welcoming all comers, including Gays; which, in of itself, has to be considered at the very least as his giving ground and the LGBT movement gaining some degree of traction in the arena of his life's work.

To put not to fine point on it, yes he's a hypocrite; but, he's now an "out-of-the-closet" hypocrite!

I await with, on one hand considerable anticipated amusement, and the other disgust, the metamorphosis of the latest miscreant, George Rekers, in the "I'm not Gay plausible deniability sweepstakes". Everything would be so much simpler if everyone, these ne'er-do-wells included, could just be themselves, whatever that self might be, and move on; but, human nature being as it is I suppose that just ain't gonna happen any time soon. Men are still going to get caught hold their dicks in the most inappropriate of circumstance, and they are going to continue to deny any wrong-doing right out the wazoo.

With regard to Ted Haggard's return to Evangelism, "Tele", "1-800" or otherwise; why not? Tammy Faye Bakker (she of the industrial strength mascara and bountiful tears) and her husband Jim (he for his philandering ways; and let's face it, the thought of going to bed with any women, let alone her, with that much makeup on her face would most certainly drive a man, any man, into errant sexual conduct ... did she use a transparent silicone sealant to ensure it's intransigence, I wonder?) and both of financial misconduct were to one degree or another able to do it, even if it required an Investment Company from Toronto owned and operated by a group of Hasidic Jews to bail out their Heritage U.S.A. theme-park; so too did Jimmy Swaggart; and that Ohio Congressman (whose name I can't remember); and Bill Clinton, and so too likely would have that most infamous gay-basher of all time "Citizen Roy Cohn" had AIDS not ended his life so precipitously.

David Gibson, hits the nail on the head, when he says "Christianity is all about second chances"; and thirds; and fourths; and fifths; and however many more it takes to get it right. Unfortunately for the Ted Haggard's of this World, those many chances can get the shorts and the hands awful messy with the fruits of their labour with generally no-one around them who genuinely want to be the recipient of those fruits.

... you are a breathe of fresh-air, at times mind you, cheekier than hell; but, a welcome one never-the less for it. I'm still chuckling ove this one, and likely will each and every time, ever after that I see, or hear, Ted Haggard's name.
