I have no idea who K.P. Bath is, I don't read children's books or attempt to write them. I often wonder what the attraction is for those who write children's stories, but I don't think it's the nudity of their readers.
Maurice Sendak wrote one of the most popular children's stories, Where The Wild Things Are (1963). Maurice was a gay man and had a partner for fifty years, he was comfortable in his role of author and illustrator. From what I have read of the man his gay life was very private, even his parents didn't know. That is a personal choice and it is obvious that Mr. Bath is a man who makes terrible personal choices.
There is no mention of the type of pornography that brought Bath to such an inglorious career ending move, he may continue to write from prison, I doubt if he will get that published.
Pornography in America is a legal slippery slope, many jurisdictions see the owner of such material in different ways. Sharing it on the internet is a fool's errand since privacy is the last thing we share electronically. I'm afraid Mr. Bath will have plenty of time to think about what he might do in the future now that children's books are off the table.
Age appears to be best in four things; old wood best to burn, old wine to drink, old friends to trust, and old authors to read. (Sir Francis Bacon 1561-1626)
