Has it only been twenty years since Poland stood up to communism? That was a huge step, a major accomplishment, and so is this:

Any time a large number of people gather in the name of Gay Rights we must pay attention. Poland has a long history of oppression and human rights violations, most of them forced upon an unwilling populace. It's about time we get to read something about the country to make us smile.

It's fascinating to read about the celebration, it has been a long time coming. "Dykes on Bikes"..."YMCA"??? How retro.
