It has come to my attention that several members of this group have attempted to contact me at my Domain-name e-Mail account, only to have their message "bounced" as a "recipient not found at this URL" or similar Server error.

Unfortunately this has been quite unintentional.

LotusDomino which I use to toss e-Mail for all of the extended members of my "Family" Domain, and their sundry accounts, has been styled to return all messages suspected of being from SPAM-sources; depending on the nature of the incoming message, it will occasionaly include some which are really and truly valid, and should not receive such summary treatment.

I invite everyone here to send me an e-Mail, which should include as the SUBJECT the exact phrase "A Place of Safety".

I will ensure that each and every message so received, will be handled in such a manner as to guarantee no further difficulties will ever again arise in any future correspondence.

Kindly address your message as follows:

"Warren C. E. Austin"

I apologize for the inconvience this may have created to those effected.

e-Mail forwarded to any of the many "Portal" sites where I maintain an account is not affected, amongst these being:

thegaydeceiver@excite.com
thegaydeceiver@hotmail.com
thegaydeceiver@lycos.com
thegaydeceiver@mail.com
thegaydeceiver@netscape.net
thegaydeceiver@yahoo.com

I would prefer all contact to be made through the Domain-name account wherever possible, as I only ever check the others on a once a month basis. I do not widely diseminate the Domain-name account; this message board being one of very the few instances where I have made it known.

My e-Mail address should have appeared immediately following this text, and should have appeared inside trianglar-brackets (<>), preceded by my name enclosed within double-quotes (""); the namr appeared so-styled but the address did not.

Kindly address your message as follows:

"Warren C. E. Austin"

So much for our much valued technology; e-Mail addresses styled

"Name, Department or some-such style"

are supposed to capture both the relevant recipients name, or whatever is styled between the double-quote (""), and the correct e-Mail address, or again whatever is styled between the triangular-brackets (<>); this should facilitate the filtering of sub-domain, or departmental messages from all being sent to generic accounts; but it only works it the programme displaying the address recognizes the protocol.

Kindly place the double-quotes ("") and the triangular-brackets (<>) before sending your message.

Don't forget to include in the SUBJECT line "A Place of Safety".

Here goes again:

"Warren C. E. Austin" [thegaydeceive@houseofellithorpe.com]

substituting the squared-brackets ([]) with triangular-brackets (<>) when typing the e-Mail address.

One final kick at the can:

"Warren C. E. Austin" [thegaydeceiver@houseofellithorpe.com]

substituting the squared-brackets ([]) with triangular-brackets (<>) when typing the e-Mail address.

It would seem that my typing is just as bad as every thing else appears to be today.

The board treats everything inside triangle brackets as html tags and most likely strips things it does not recognize. Therefore, when you type your email address inside brackets it disappears.

Why all the extra fluff by the way? I would think, if there is anything trailing the ".com" part of the address it would either get stripped or treated as part of the top-level domain, and since there aren't any ".com>" addresses you'd get a bounced email as a result.

But that's just a theory btw. Smile
