While Glenn Beck stands on the National Mall in Washington DC today for his big rally, the Fox News commentator and conservative guru is telling the nation that we need to turn back to God. Is this the conservative God or just anyone's God?

Beck, who over the years has attempted to turn himself into a god for the conservative cause, rallied thousands with a star lineup of speakers including Sarah (did I ever have a brain) Palin.

Neither of them are ordained ministers and by the rules cannot therefor speak for God (or their version of the diety) are pushing their secular approach to the fanatics who follow their blather. But not everyone is happy to see these two star homophobes on the podium.

I present the following example from The Root, an African-American or black media presence (depends on your level of political correctness).

Beck, who has irritated and inflamed the country with his own apparently racist comments, has called the first black President of this nation a racist. I wonder if the drugs affected his thinking, or maybe it was the Mormonism.

I'll never know, I could give a rat's ass what Beck thinks. His anti-gay marriage and homophobic concepts put him outside the parameters of my attention. The only thing he has ever done worthwhile is to convince me that Fox News is the asshole end of the media industry. Put that in your pipe and smoke it, Glenn, or did it go up your nose?

I was rather repulsed of what took place at the Lincoln Memorial today. But in America, beck and palin have the freedom of speech. It still sent a shiver up and down my spine. I had a difficult time falling to sleep last night thinking about it. But it's over. Darkness though remains.
