I follow the blog of a young gentleman who still has an abiding LDS faith, something that never ceases to surprise me.

Read about how he is two years after coming out:

Even though Rob is happy and reasonably well adjusted, it has not been easy for him. It is an enterprise to be undertaken with open eyes

He's a very skilful communicator - the pic sequence is original and hugely effective - and he has a level of eloquence which it's impossible not to admire (and perhaps, sneakily, to envy!)

He's also a perfect illustration of how Christians and Atheists can and should co-exist. He exudes faith, but his faith is personal and not used as an excuse for demeaning anyone who doesn't share it. I can't take the LDS Church seriously - historically it's a bad joke - but I'd have no problem in co-existing amicably with someone like Rob without feeling the slightest need to try to change his religious outlook. He seems to be a thoroughly good guy, and there aren't enough of those around for the rest of us to be picky about their faith choices.

For a' that an' a' that,
It's comin' yet for a' that,
That man tae man, the worrld o'er
Shall brithers be, for a' that.
