I had followed this featured story the first day (several days ago), remaining silent until more details had been forthcoming. A parallel item featured an hour or so earlier this evening than the aforementioned was the last straw:

In the face of this troubling story, and those other recent revelations of supposed devout men using services of paid-escorts, toilet-sex and other philandering, each of whom held positions of some rank and authority within the hierarchy of their respective organizations, I then feel beholden to have to ask:

"When are the Religion Nazis going to get the message that being homosexual could, and can, affect anyone; that it respects neither race, religion, politics, age, gender, creed nor financial where-with-all; that homosexuality is as much a part of the human condition as eye- or hair-colour, whether one either is tall or small, left- or right-handed, or slim or overweight?"

Sex scandals happen anywhere people become too powerful and start to believe their own publicity. Religion is a great place for people to have power trips in the name of some deity or other.

Frankly, we think such laws are silly. They do young people more harm than good. How can you possibly ask questions on a gay forum without coming out to your parents if you need consent?
