... or at the very least, the message is being delivered, and hopefully heard, as this article by Jane's Addiction's Lead guitarist Dave Navarro attests:

http://6767.com/2010/09/29/an-open-letter-to-gay-bi-transgender-teens/

Incidentally, I found the link to this story not anywhere in the mainstream media but as a featured (and lead article) published at freshhotness.net a leading gay-adult pornography blog to which I subscribe and infrequently visit (although a subsequent search has provided me with numerous web-links from that media), the most prominent of them being being:

http://www.spinner.com/2010/10/05/dave-navarro-tyler-clementi-suicide/

The former, not the most savoury of locations to be finding such news; but, better than not at all, I'm supposing.

It is unfortunate that it took so damned long to get better. If today's level of tolerance... no, make that acceptance had been the same 35 years ago, I would be living a whole different life today. :-/

I prefer guys that don't come in a box.

We are the second wave of standard bearers. Our role is to take the standard as far as we can and pass it to the next generation.

WIthout those that went before we would not have it even as good as we have it today.
