In Israel, a lesbian couple were together for ten years. One of the women gave birth to a child (via AID) who is now 4 years old. Suddenly, this woman's partner found another woman and ran off with her, leaving mother and child stranded. The mother is now suing her ex-partner for alimony and child support. It will be interesting to see how this develops in court. "Fings ain't wot they used ter be."

The paradox has often been noted that the United States, founded in secularism, is now the most religiose country in Christendom, while England, with an established church headed by its constitutional monarch, is among the least. (Richard Dawkins, 2006)

Assuming she would have qualified had her partner been the opposite sex then I support her claim.
