I've never heard many positive mentions with regards to LGBT's on the local media but I was pleased to find this posted on Facebook from my favorite radio station along with on-air mentions:

102.3 Now! Radio Are you wearing purple today? It is "Spirit Day", recognition of the discrimination against the gay and lesbian community! Even if it's your undies that's cool...apparently the colour defines your personality: Black: powerful but sultry Red: passionate, energetic and driven White: innocent, but open to suggestion. Frankly, we think such laws are silly. They do young people more harm than good. How can you possibly ask questions on a gay forum without coming out to your parents if you need consent?
