I do not accept threats like "I am leaving" as any reason to make any changes here. Nor am I amenable at present to behind the scenes machinations.
That I care if you stay or go is evident. But I am not going to get bent out of shape over it. Anyone who thinks he matters so much that he can threaten me with his loss had better understand my attitude when, as an employer, staff threaten me that they will leave.
I thank them for their resignation but give them free time to reconsider.
Now would all those who think they can influence me in a time when I have already said I am not going to be here so much please get a grip in life. Back me into a corner when I have already declared I have no TIME, and you will find I react in ways you do not like.
