A propos timmy's new poll. It just so happens that in the magazine section of my paper last weekend they published the results of a scientific poll about the use of condoms, conducted among gay people in Israel recently. 350 men and women who identified themselves as gay were polled. The results were:

47% responded that they always use a condom.

2.5% responded that they never use a condom.

16% said that they 'generally' use a condom.

6% said that they 'sometimes do and sometimes don't'.

27% responded that they don't use a condom because they are in a permanent monogamous relationship and both had been tested for AIDS.

Other facts:

51% of those under the age of 24 always use a condom and a further 26% generally do so.

Only 44% of those in the 25-34 age bracket always use a condom, and a further 12% generally do so.

48% of those over the age of 35 always use a condom and a further 11% generally do so.

Hey!!!!!!!! Does this mean that if you are over 35 you have reached geezerdom?

timmy's latest poll is here, too  [message #6695 is a reply to message #6694] Tue, 17 December 2002 16:04 Go to previous messageGo to next message

Safe Sex

Who takes responsibility for safe sex?

I do. I always have condoms with me.

I do not have sex (yet) So this is not relevant to me

I do not carry condoms as a matter of course, but I buy them when I plan a sexual encounter

I leave it to my partner

I don't care. I take the risk of infection

I am in a monogamous relationship with my partner. We do not require them

Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

Everybody else may think 35 is the start to geezerdom, but not me, I refuse to "act" any older than I have to. I'm 21 and that's where I'm staying. Just because I have less than a year to geezerdom as you say, don't expect me to act it.

Brian
I has nothing to do with "how you act".... 35 is it.... Geezers Unite  [message #6699 is a reply to message #6697] Tue, 17 December 2002 20:52 Go to previous messageGo to next message

I think that the original poll covered (or uncovered, as you please) more topics than the one that I found reported in my paper. I guess that the females were excused these questions Wink
