I wish I could join you! However, I've decided to go visit my "parents" *sigh*, and they have no broadband connection, but I'll say hello anyway of course in an email.
MANY HUGS for you Timmer!

PS: On a positive note, although the Norwegian channel TV2 has have decided not to show a commercial about a gay youth help hotline which was supposed to be aired on christmas day, showing two boys dancing at a school dance, since it was deemed to 'disrupt the christmas spirit for the general public', the commercial TV channel TV Norge WILL show it several times. So, score one-nil for the good-guys!

In the UK we have an advertisement for Baileys Irish cream that before the 9pm watershed shows a guy in the bar, the lights go out and someone kisses him on the kips. When the lights come up a handful of girls and look towards him seductively and he is trying to guess who it was. After the 9pm watershed a guy is also drinking Baileys and he's part of the scenario. Go figure!

I would love to take you up on this but I'm going away for Christmas - I need the peace and quiet of somewhere, though haven't yet figured out whre yet.
Have a good one - and that goes for everyone else, too.

Hi, sorry but I don't have AOL IM, but, like you, I will be alone on Christmas day, so, how about if I promise to think of you a few times during the day?
Not much, I know, but better than nothing.
Lots of love,
Ruggero

I think in the US we have the straight-only version of that commercial.

Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

I'd have preferred to be by myself too, but I get such a guilty conscience when I hear of all the food and stuff they've prepared, and it simply got too annoying to hear them nag that I'd be lonely sitting all by myself (which I do anyway all the time so no change there really), so I simply gave up. To me, take away the food and decorations and christmas is no different from any other day of the year except there's lots of boring "family" stuff on TV instead of the regular shows I like.
HUGS Timmer! I'll mail you okay?

Between working, and a bunch of alone time, i'll be here with you. I've just got a short dinner to go to, and then work. So much for a Christmas day for me. I wouldn't even go to the dinner but Chuck's mom insists that I go. I'm pretty sure I'll be spending Christmas Eve alone though, doesn't look good for anything to change my mind about that.
