Not exactly discussing The Move, it's more that I'm missing it. Emails I send to Doug (das11111@yahoo.com) remain unanswered and I'm worried that he's met some sort of misadventure. Does anyone have any news of him, please?

Agree with you.
The story ended abruptly, and I'm not sure if it finished there or not.
Whatever, it was a great read, and I hope there's more.

I also hope Doug continues with this story. I think I might have known Doug about 20 years ago. If he sees this please I hope he'll e mail me as we sort of lost contact.

All I can conclude after all this time is that Doug Smith has met with misadventure. The story is labelled on Nifty as To Be Continued, but has not been. And I get no replies from Doug. Please feel free to das11111@yahoo.com to ask.

Some news at least. Chapter 40 appeared on Nifty today!
I've re-emailed Doug in the hope that he gets back in touch

Hi!
I'm new here, but I read all the chapters of "The Move" on Nifty. I can't see where chapter 40 was posted. In fact, I cant find the story at all. Can you help me out with this? It's been so long, maybe I'm looking in the wrong place.
And did you ever get in touch with Doug?

Here is chapter 40. Doug, if he is still around, has not answered my emails. Perhaps you will have better luck?

I was very glad to see "The Move" by Doug Smith post another chapter. Chapter 45 is up.
If you have not read "The Move," it is a very good story, with several tough parts.
Chapter 1 starts here
Timmy, somehow I have goofed up the link. Could you fix it, and remind me of the PROPER way to paste it?

- Type the text you want to link from
- Select that text
- Click the editing toolbar just above this wondow, thr Globe aith a chain at the foot. Right hand group if icons, left end of the group. A box will open (Not sure about popup blockers)
- Paste your link into the box
- Say "ok" or similar
- Robert is your mother's brother.
The forum software sucks with http strings bare in the text, works well with the method above

I wonder if you knew it had a political origin

It's good to see that Doug Smith is 'back in action', as it were. When I saw ch.45 in What's New, I looked back to discover that it had begun several years ago. I have been binge reading it as time allowed for a few days and enjoyed the story. I emailed to thank him and to tell him that I looked forward to more. I hope all is well with him and that we see more of "The Move".
