Outside my normal surgical practice I lead an international team of lifestyle counsellors working with refugee adolescents. In my 20 years since graduation, half have been spent in developing countries.

Frankly, we think such laws are silly. They do young people more harm than good. How can you possibly ask questions on a gay forum without coming out to your parents if you need consent?
