First of all, even though I have posted a few replies and all, I want to thank smith, Heather, and Marc for encouraging me to place this post... but that is not where the thanks ends... thanks to all for being a part of this wonderful community. It really seems like an incredible place !!!
Now... How much you want to know about me, I am not sure. This is my first time being a consistent MB reader and writer. It really is cool tho... although I have owned computers for about 15 years, I just never got this far...
At any rate, I am a single, gay man. I live in Oshkosh, Wisconsin (yeah, I know Oshkosh B'gosh jeans... and yes they are made here...) I have 3 kids (who are the loves of my life), and they of course came when I was trying to pretend that I wasn't who I am. Thank God and some close friends who helped me come out of the closet both to myself and some others. I still live in the closet as far as my kids are concerned, but truthfully, I just don't make an issue of who I am. (I figure if no one asks a hetero couple what their sex life is like, it's no one's d**n business what mine is...)
My attitude: I love and celebrate life. I love others very deeply, and live my life from my heart. Please know that if I write anyone here, it is from my heart. I already love you without knowing you very well, and you are important to me. I will never be harsh on you, nor will I ever lie to you. As a person, I believe it is my obligation to make this world a better place to live in. Truth, honesty and love all lived outwardly show that...
I am writing my first story, tho it is not anywhere ready for publication yet... at this point I will publish it only here. I believe in Timmy's philosophy.
I hope this isn't too much... but I was encouraged to write this... and please forgive me if it is too much...
Last of all, Thank You Timmy for providing us such a wonderful place to come to and be friends from all over the world.
Paul

Make yourself at home. Relax. This is the place where you (and I) behave like you and not like the person everyone else thinks you are (or should be). For many of us this is not only a Place of Safety but also a Place of Truth - a place where for a short while each day we can be our real selves. Come in, shut the door, sit down: you're home. You're one of us. Hugs.

Ditto on the welcome to the MB! I think you'll find plenty of people and things to interest you for as much or as little time as you have to be here.
Plus, of course, there's quite a number of gay fathers on the MB as well...a nice suburb of our main community, so to speak!

We don't have Oshkosh B'gosh jeans in Sweden, I hadn't even heard of them until you mentioned them, but the name sounds really cool. I shall have to google them up and learn some about them!
Kids are great, well, great kids are, and by the sound of it you're happy with yours. That's wonderful, and goes to prove even denying who you are isn't an entirely bad thing. ...If you get what I mean. There's several other lucky guys here with kids (and in least one cuddly case, grandkids!), so whee for you in that regard.
Take care, and enjoy yourself.
To enjoy yourself, be yourself.
You can be yourself here at Timmy's place.
The Place of Safety.
Welcome!

HERE, HERE!!! i swear, i think the same thing. after all is said and done, and all the hooplah is over and the alarms have been shut off ... WHY DOES IT MATTER who we love and sleep with? and why do They think that affects how we parent our children? honestly.
that was a great introduction, and i really do look forward to learning more about you, paul! as you can see, this place is wonderful and warm, and i'm almost panicked as to what i'll do when my classes start and i can't RSS-prowl the board as much!!
also! i saw your prayer in that other thread, and if you'd like i can add it. perfect time because the moon is new and will soon be waxing.

Thanks everyone for such a nice welcome.
I have been asked on more than one occasion about my kids... I have one son, Christopher, who is 21 this November (yeah... it makes me feel like feeling old... but NEVER !!!!! I will never give in to the dark side of age !!!!!! LOL !!!!) I have another son, Dustin, who is 15 (and wants to drive every time he is conscious), and a daughter, Tiffany, who is 13 (going on 26... or so she thinks)... and who by the way is grounded right now until first quarter grades are printed and sent home.
That is my little ditty about my kids... how bout all yours????

Lenny, Oshkosh B'gosh jeans have been around in the States for over a hundred years.. and as of late, they have been focusing on cheapening labor (Moving a lot of production to the southern US and Mexico), and selling very expensive children's clothes.
However, theyy still make great Carpenter's jeans, Painter's overalls and Bib overalls... if you know what those wonderful things are... sorry, I am not familiar with colloquial Sweden.. but I am willing to learn !!!!!!
Thanks again for the wonderful welcome !!!!!!!
