i bought a used DVD set (queer as folk season 2), and it's been 2 weeks and i've not received it. naturally, i contact the seller, which seems to be a distribution place, because they have it still in the shrink wrap, and like, a supply of them. the woman tells me that my order was processed and shipped, and it's in UPS' hands now, and that it usually takes four to fourteen days.

except i contacted UPS and they have no record of the order. so i've emailed this person back, and have heard nothing yet. i gave them the worst review imaginable, but i'm still out 85 dollars until someone there contacts me, and credits my credit card. does anyone know how i can contact someone at amazon? i've been on their help page but haven't found anything about contacting people AT amazon in charge of used-item sellers.

i am so so so upset.

I think that they have a link somewhere,
I'll look it up, love, and give you an up-date.

go back to the seller and ask for the shipping number/waybill number etc. Tell them that the shipping has no record of this and that you are holding them, the vendor, totally responsible, since they chose the route to get the goods to you.

Tell them you require EITHER confirmation of the arrival date of the goods or a 100% refund.

Amazon is a pain to deal with, regrettably, but http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/browse/-/537868/ref=br_ca_/103-0691782-4807032 is relevant

except there's this clause on that link:

Note: A-to-Z Guarantee coverage for purchases from Amazon Merchants does not apply to purchases made prior to November 13, 2003.

and my order was made before that, on november 2nd. but i'm still going to contact them regardless, once it's been the allotted 30 days, because someone will probably get back to me and tell me what to do from there. so that link WAS helpful, thanks. Smile

That's soooo bleh! I know you're not made of money, and I know you really wanted these DVDs...

So, I'm sorry, wish I could magically make em appear in your mailbox somehow. Smile All shiny and brand new, not used or anything. Smile

Heathyr and all, I learned a lesson the hard way, but it will always stay with me...

In short, here is what you do. Call Visa (or whatever Credit Card you used) and tell them your situation... where you bought what you did, business name, all that and tell them your card (or whatever account your debit card may draw from) has been charged. You did not receive the goods you paid for. By U.S. law, they are required to either find the merchandise for you, or refund your money to your account within 14 calendar days of your complaint date.

They may ask you for a written and signed letter, and if they do, get a person's name, and FAX the letter to them. Faxes are legal documents in the US due to the governmental controls over the wire lines. Get phone numbers, names, everything you can in dealingwith this situation.

All of this is part of being a credit card customer, so you aren't doing anything overboard or making them work for something they shouldn't... and by the way, when I was a credit card vendor, we had this situation come up several times due to shipping issues with carriers... and it works!!!!

I hope this helps !!!!!!
