Does anyone have a New Years Resolution for the upcoming year?

Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

My goal for the upcoming year is to become better at managing my stress/anger issues. To become a better friend.

Also to expand our business 4 fold and to become self sufficient financially.

Also to teach my Kittykat not to be so demanding and to drink water from the fountain.

Happy New Year to everyone in GMT or after it and New Years Eve for you Yanks.

My resolutions for the new year are:

1: Stop being so attached to the year 7s ('specially Alex)
2: Stop looking at porn
3: Do homework on the day it's set
4: Get higher than a C in chemistry
5: If possible, stop masturbating.

Yeah... Somewhat tricky, that lot. Especially 3 and 5.

To be honest I don't really have any New Year's Resolutions and this is about the first year that I haven't. I'm happy with the things that have happened over the last year, the things I've done and the way I've grown and as long as I keep on progressing on the same track I'll be happy. New Year's Resolutions to me are things that you want to change or accomplish in the New Year that you haven't done in the previous year, but I have nothing like that. There are things I want to achieve, places I want to go, people I want to see and I will be extremely disappointed if the year goes by and those things aren't done, but I think I'm well on my way to doing everything I want to do in the New Year anyway, so it isn't so much of a hassle.

My new year's resolution: no change. things are working quite nicely as they are. lol

Hey eothain--

Haven't heard from you in quite some time...missed you. Hope all is well. Don't worry too much about #5...everyone needs a hobby.

If you're still in contact with Blue, tell him that we miss him...haven't heard from him in quite some time as well.

cheers!

AJ

Well to be honest, I haven't heard from him either. He's on my YIM contact list but he hasn't been online in weeks. Last I heard, his grandmother was in hospital which would explain his abscence.

#5 is bad for you. Masturbate as often as you like. It is proven to be good for your prostate.

or more commonly known as, those damn things that bug us that we promise to fix, but break the promise about 3 hours into the new year.

Eothain, good luck on #5 (I'll be glad to hear how you manage it) Hey, wait...... maybe cutting out #2 would cut down on #5 hahaha!!

Marc, my cat does whatever he dang well pleases.....I wish you luck.

I do have 2 things I want to work on, not as promises, but more as helping myself.
1. I want to try harder to look beyond the words someone says and find what the words really mean. There's too much hurt and pain going on to let it all slide by.
2. I want to try to understand my father. He loves me, why has he forgotten what it was like to be 17? I realize there's an added agenda on my part that keeps me from reaching out, but there's got to be a way.

The world has been in a lot of natural turmoil this past year. I hope so much that 2005 lets everyone find a quiet place and Father Nature takes a good long nap.

Happy New Year, Everyone !! I hope 2005 finds you content and at peace !!

Meh, I've already failed on 5. I'm so weak willed... Well, if at first you don't succede, try, try again!

2 however is quite easy most of the time except when I suddenly get a sudden urge to... you know. Er, yeah. Good luck with your two ones. They seem as though they may be quite difficult, but rewarding if you succede.

Happy New Year, smith. Smile

Good luck with your two resolutions, which are both very worthy.

An obvious question perhaps, but have you asked your father direct (I am trying to phrase this in as open a question as I can) what he can remember about when he was 17?

Chances are he can remember some of the things that he did, but maybe finds it harder to remember what he thought and what he felt.

Photography helps us remember the things that we do, but old thoughts and feelings can get lost in the mists of time as they become superseded by new ones.

I am sure that you have thought about this, but what are you doing now to remember what it is like to be 17 for when you are asked the same question yourself in, say, thirty years' time?

I am taking better care of my body this year. I have already started, and I feel great. No weight gained over the holidays is a success all by itself.

As for eothain's #5: if it weren't for that, I'd have no sex life at all! And I'm 50! LOL

Good Luck Cool

Dave
