Regrettably, repeating it does not make it true. No-one has won anything here. There was nothing to win.

I don't know who's been the most supercilious in this thread thus far, but it's a startling display.
Timmy, you are the proprietor here, your word is effectively commandment. If someone doesn't like it, tough shit. There are other fora on which they can post, but this one has, in my experience, been very lenient and willing to ignore idiosyncrasy for content. As far as I can tell, it's been for the better, if occasionally aggravating. You're not instituting totalitarian policies, you've been very hands-off. I appreciate your wanting to foster discussion about the decision to delete a post, but if it's as simple as "it wasn't appropriate", just say that much and move on; this isn't getting us anywhere.
Marc, get off the cross. If you said something Timmy found inappropriate, deal with it. The way this thread has gone, you're coming across as petulant and with a false indignation approaching martyrdom. In my limited time here, you've been one of the more cogent, if contrarian, posters. What exactly is an internet dick-measuring contest going to accomplish in the long run?
Can we please get back to two-post "look at me" threads with original poetry?

Well, I feel as if I lost the ability and/or option to make my point....
You mandated that I take my point to a place where it could be conviently ignored....
Therefore, by my reconing I lost... You won...
Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

I asked you to make a new thread for it. If you think it will be ignored thaen it is probably worth rethinking it.

Thus your win........

There is a logical disconnect here. If you can't write something that people will not ignore then it is probably not worth writing.
That does not mean I win.
All it means is that the topic you want to write about is one that people will ignore.
But you can't know that until you do it.

And what is the point of posting when I already know it will be ignored...
No... I will continue posting where I see the need... Just like everyone else...
Unless of course you mandate otherwise...

Mandate? No. I asked several times though.

Just look back when you have time and count how many posts (of anybody) have been ignored, ie had no reply. You will find it difficult to discover (m)any.

I dream of boys with big bulges in their trousers,
Never of girls with big bulges in their blouses.
…and look forward to meeting you in Cóito.
