Watched it for ages here in the UK. It's a usual August happening, but always surprises.

Somehow it puts it into perspective how lucky we are that a ig lump hasn't hit us for agesn

LOL I just got back, it's now almost 4 am, went with friends had to drive 45 min. to get to a spot where there wasn't to much light pollution. I bet the viewing was great in Utah. I would have rather been in NM or out at sea!

People will tell you where they've gone
They'll tell you where to go
But till you get there yourself you never really know
Where some have found their paradise
Other's just come to harm

There should be. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perseids The annual phenomenon usually lasts a few days, but August's weather is so unpredictable in England that we often miss them. Any tome between 9 and 3, mostly coming from the north to east sector, sometimes with odd directions. They are so random that binoculars don't help, and it's almost impossible to photograph one
