Lovely really, I had almost forgotten about Nick Drake until I came across this vid on YT.
This is one of my favs by him, too bad he went the way of so many of the greats of that age!

I think Nick was another causality of being a gay young man in an unsympathetic time in the world. It really is a sad story but through all the denial about the possibility or just the avoidance of the mention of his sexuality, it to me become painfully obvious, the beautiful yet melancholy words seems to be asking to let be who he was.

But then maybe I am totally wrong.

Frankly, we think such laws are silly. They do young people more harm than good. How can you possibly ask questions on a gay forum without coming out to your parents if you need consent?
