As many will know, there's been a lot of fuss from a few reactionary extremist clergymen over this  recently. The formal UK Government consultation process has now started, and can be found on http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/publications/about-us/consultat ions/equal-civil-marriage/ .

There's 12 weeks to get any comments in - but if (like me) you're prone to procrastination, now would be a good time to do it ...

It was a simple survey to take part in. Opting for full equality takes very little thought. I spent very little time opting for full equality. I cheated. I declared mysefl to be a heterosexual christian.

I would have wished to answer some of the questions I was excluded from. I understand why I was excluded.

It appears that one need not be a UK citizen or resident to answer this, but it may prove that IP addresses bar responses.

Frankly, we think such laws are silly. They do young people more harm than good. How can you possibly ask questions on a gay forum without coming out to your parents if you need consent?
