I happen to be aroused by erect penises. I like pictures of them. Despite being vehemently against circumcision I find both the intact and the mutilated penis arousing.
What I find slightly odd is that some pictures of erect penises are substantially more arousing than others. I'm considering pictures of slim, legal age, young gentlemen, and ones where no face is involved. I also acknowledge that some penises are downright unattractive, but I am considering penises whose aesthetic merits are as near equal as makes no difference. I am not considering penises "in play" so to speak, I am just considering the penis and the very close body regions that surround it.
Indeed, two pictures of the same penis on the same young gentleman (photoshop can be a pain) can trigger a widely different arousal level.
Any idea why? Anyone share my experience?

I'm not sure I understand that bit - i.e. if you can only see the penis and very close body regions, and if the person and penis are the same, the only differences I can think of are either state of erection or angle of shot. Is that what you mean?
As regards angle of shot, one rarely gets to see ones own equipment in other than from above, and one rarely gets to see another person's equipment from above. Does this, perhaps, mean that the view of even a nice penis from above is less exciting than other angles because it is less exotic in that it's associated with the (relatively boring) views of our own?
As for myself, I don't think I find a disembodied penis arousing, though I might consider it to be aesthetic (or not).

I mean that there is no element of "Wow, HE is attractive and thus so is his penis." And, to be fair, I have to be in a "penis mood".
I don't think it is the shot angle, though it might be. It must be more to do with my intentions to do something with that particular penis in that particular shot. Some are oh so suckable, others I want to impale myself on, and the same penis in another shot can be totally uninspiring. I wonder if it might be the implied firmness of the erection?

Who can say? We humans are remarkably complicated, and our tastes and desires are among the most complicated parts of our composite makeup.

I found this going through posts from WAAAAY before I joined the forum. I have noticed that a penis from the side looks very different in appearance from a penis from above or below. Even a slight change of angle can greatly change the appearance.
For fun sometime, stand in front of a mirror and examine your penis from different angles--looking from above both in the mirror and from directly above your penis. Then gradually turn just a bit and look as the angle changes. Further, observe that sometimes, your penis can look a bit different from one side to the other. This is partly because of "the angle of the dangle," and whether your penis tends to hang to the right or to the left.

Interesting topic, the erect penis, a symbol of masculinity, power, force, fertility, penetration. There are places and religions where the penis is worshiped, see the following
http://www.cracked.com/article_16103_5-inspiring-religions-t hat-worship-penises.html
There is a magnetic attraction and appeal to an erect penis, I think though supported by two testicles, it is the undeniable pinnacle of masculine sexual stimulation, not just a symbol of penetration, but much more, a symbol of arousal - perhaps that is why professional pornography is so bad, with 80% of it relying on achieving an erection through fellatio - but that is a different topic.
I doubt that you are alone Tim in admiring and being aroused by an erect penis, I would venture to predict that 80% of humans adore erect penises - if they didn't we might not be here to discuss them, lol!
