Right you are, Tim. It's a hopeful reality that yeat another "ministry" has developed within the Evangelical church, this one focused on acceptance of children who are LGBTQ. May there be more, and may the dominant religious views be corrected. I was impressed with the simple analogy that the founders made: the church draws lines; Jesus drew circles!

I read this article and was greatly moved by it. Very tough subject, very well-addressed. I have to admire the people involved on both sides, for deternining that blind faith is not faith, it's slavery. And that breaking the chains of it for good, for good reasons, is worth the effort for the ones you love. Thanks for sharing this one, Tim.

One might find a better religion since christanity probably won't change its hatred towards homosexuality or migrants or feminists or so on any time soon with Trump back to wreak havoc. Any progress has been stopped for now. The conservative christian religion has had too many years to grow in strentgh, has gained too much political clout, has ingrained itself into the minds of business executives. The article was very good in pointing out that the parents had a change of mind and heart, but the article could have delved deeper how monstrous the conservative christian philosophy remains.
