DON'T LOOK FOR ME.
CHORUS.

Don't look for me when the day draws to a close,
And thoughts arise of peaceful repose.
For I have gone to that place of shadows and dreams,
Where nothing is really as it seems.

VERSE 1.
It isn't all that bad you know, and the pains no longer with me.
For time can heal the worst of scars, from all things I am free.
I only miss the feel of you, the smile of your sweet face;
the wind that blows your lovely hair, your caring warm embrace.

VERSE 2.
I see you wake upon the morn, your angelic smile anew,
You look outside your window there, and see the morning dew.
I wonder if you think of me, amongst your early thought,
So many of our lovers' plans have only come to nought.

VERSE 3.
It's oh so cold for me now in this dark and lonely place,
And I feel sorry for you there, trapped in the old rat race.
I want to hold you tight and say it's alright now,
But all that's over now, will we ever meet somehow?

CHORUS.
Don't look for me when the day draws to a close,
And thoughts arise of peaceful repose.
For I have gone to that place of shadows and dreams,
Where nothing is really as it seems.
