Getting started

Hi all, I thought I'd introduce  myself and explain I'm new on here. I'm not sure  how all this works and I'm sure it'll take a little time to familiarise myself  with it and hopefully  get to know some of you.  I have a book on Amazon that I'd like to share but not sure if I'm allowed  to put the link on here. If anyone could tell me if this is possible i would be most grateful. I don't want to break any rules before  I even start my journey  on this site.

Also, Is there a section  where  we can share each others work for critiquing? I have also placed this in the literary merit board

Tlller;

Welcome aboard! We're glad to have you join the forum and as you can see it's a place to discuss gay stories, mainly those posted on this site, as well as broader related subjects. If you've explored the site, you've seen that Timmy, the site host and web master, has described and posted a link to his book on Amazon. To wit, there's no problem with an informational post about your book, as it may be of interest to other forum members. Just remember the purpose of the forum isn't commercial promotion. We'll look forward to learning more about your writings!

All the best

Bensiamin

--Hi Tillers,

Welcome to the site. We are always interested in new writers joining up. As Ben has said, you can place a link to your story in this forum, no problem. We'd like to hear more about what you've been doing, too!

Glad to have you aboard.

Critiquing is best handled informally, I think. The rationale is that a critique, especially a full literary critique, is, by its very nature, a shedload of 'could do better', a small number of 'yuck!" and very few 'this was good' verdicts. Done well, a lit crit is wholly constructive, but they are not often done well. Done badly, they are destructve, and become a litany of 'I hated this' comments.

Generally folk share their work informally.

There is an amusing AI driven engine that will do a partial lit crit at https://notebooklm.google.com which I've played with yesterday. It's a bit fussy and refuses to work with sex scenes in a chapter.

You're very welcome to place links to your body of published work. I use my signature to do so

I put one of my works though the AI engine. This is the outcome.
