I have been wondering whether to post this for three days, so deal gently with me.

My local newspaper published an article about a gay magazine that is organizing its annual "Man of the Year" beauty contest. The contest has reached the final 12 and there is talk that the winner will probably not be recognized as such because he is .... str8. In the article this guy explains that when he was 14 his best friend came out to him and in order to support him he started going with him to gay clubs etc, and thus created a friendship with the 'community'.

Another contestant also has a fascinating story: he comes from an ultra-orthodox Jewish background (black hat, long coat, long ear curls etc) and defied his family by deciding to become secular in order to live the kind of gay life he was comfortable with.

Anyway, here is the link to the pix. Each contestant is numbered and if you click on the number a window will open giving you details and two more pix of that contestant. You won't be able to read the blurb because it is in Hebrew, but is that important?
