I have, as I said in Ashley's thread about male rape, been thinking about places for people to post special pleas for help. The link on fht front page to the fear of being different also leads to a page which once cntained two people's accounst of the awfulness that happened to them, and by request now contains only one. And there is a special guestbook there, too, with a specific purpose.

But the place to talk, anonymously, is here.

Some people are concerned about IP addresses being recorded. They do not contain enough information for me to know who you are. They contain enough information for me to know only yout internet service provider. And when you dial up your IP address changes.

So you are anonymous.

Unless you use an unusual ISP. that is, and also unless I know where you live. So do not tell me either piece of information. You thus remain anonymous.

I record the IP addresses in case of a serious abuse of this site. And all ISPs do anyway.

So, this messagebaord is for the purpose of asking for serious help. And not necessarily in public.

As I have said often before, if you cannot post, choose the one of us you feel most at home with and email. But when you do, remember that the person you mail may not answer. They may be busy, or you may toch a raw nerve making it impossible for them to speak. So, ask your next best match. And then the next.

And do NOT reveal more of yourself than you wish them to know. This is a relationship you are in control of from the start.
