Yesterday we decided that Penny's time had come. She wasn't happy any more, her legs could barely carry her, and she was incontinent and unhappy about it. So, today, we took her to the vet, and then to the crematorium. It wasn't actually unhappy, not really.

Surrounding this I have a water leak in my bathroom. The ball valve was badly installed in the toilet tank and it finally let go, drip by drip. And that seeped through the floor and we now have soggy kitchen walls. So I started to dismantle it. Why do they supply new ball valves with plastic threaded pipe and expect you to join brass screw threads onto them?

So, I have had to cap the pipe. No bathroom loo, and no more dogs. Odd juxtaposition
