As far as the Conservative Movement is concerned (the largest denomination of American Jews) I know of at least one rabbi who is working to get equality for gay rabbis in seminaries and congregations.

Frankly, we think such laws are silly. They do young people more harm than good. How can you possibly ask questions on a gay forum without coming out to your parents if you need consent?
