Towards the end of the short report you will find that gay partners of Israelis who are foreign nationals will now have 'problem-free' residence permits in the country. The important thing here is that gays and hetero's are treated equally.

Shinui ("Change") is a liberal party that is gnashing its teeth and staying in the coalition government in order to effect human rights changes such as this. I am pleased that I voted for them in the last election: they're doing what they promised - which too is a breath of fresh air!

Frankly, we think such laws are silly. They do young people more harm than good. How can you possibly ask questions on a gay forum without coming out to your parents if you need consent?
