With regret I have accepted smith's instruction to remove his stories from the site. My hope is that this is a temporary event, and that he will both write again and allow his stories to come back here. At present both his stories and his email address have been removed.

I was thinking, foolishly, of putting a poll here to ask him to put his stories back, but the alternative answer "please do not" seemed stupid. So, I have created a "vote counter" for you. It may not make him change his mind. But he will see how much we love him

Dear Grasshopper

You may not realise how much we love your stories and how much we value you as a person. Quite often we have never written to say so. So, just for now, please look at the results of this 'one answer'poll.

We miss you, your stories and your gentle writing. Please write more and please let them come back online.
