Last night I was watching a tv program called Great Chefs of the World. It features various chefs preparing a wide variety of dishes, some quite ordinary, some quite exotic. Last night's program featured a chef who prepared carp sperm. He served it in some sort of sauce, but I don't recall what. Initially I was a bit taken aback, then I realized that most of us eat eggs without even thinking about the fact they are the female equivalent to our sperm. In fact eggs, particularly fish eggs can be quite expensive. I also realized that human sperm is frequently consumed as part of sexual acts. So why does it sound so odd that sperm would be prepared and eaten for dinner?
Think good thoughts,
