A few weeks ago, Timmy told me to reinvent myself. I certainly took those words to heart. They've been sitting in my mind and I've just been waiting for the right moment to do it.

Saturday was graduation day. I graduated Magna Cum Laude (although technically I was probably eligible for Summa Cum Laude, long story) from my high school, which completely rocks. I took home two awards -- one in math, one in history -- and that's awesome considering only three other people got each of those awards. And get this, smith -- everyone kept on telling me how great my smile was. Every friend's parent, relative, friend kept telling me how I always smiled and how they knew that was me. I heard it ALL the time! I just thought you might appreciate that story. Wink

Anyway, now that school's over and summer's here, I'm ready for a new Tom. Today, I started a casual workout regiment consisting of work on an eliptical trainer, situps, stretches, and swimming back and forth in my pool. I'm 5'8" and 160 pounds. I used to be 150 and I would absolutely love to get back there, and I know I can do it. Right now I have a bit of a gut but if I drop those 10 pounds, I'll have my flat stomach back in no time. Smile I just didn't want to be embarrassed if I had to take my shirt off at a pool party or the beach this year!

At Mike's graduation party this weekend, one of my friends brought her hair straightener, determined to straighten the guys' hair. I knew well in advance that she was going to straight my hair and I had no qualms about it whatsoever. My curls, while nice, can eventually turn into an afro that just doesn't fly too well with me. So anyway, she straightened my hair, and some of the girls said it looked good. Although, I really would have to trim it and shape it a specific way, because my mom told me I looked like Mike Myers in Wayne's World. (Party on, Garth!) Sad) Anyway, now that I've showered, the curls are back but it makes me wonder if I'll make a drastic hair change. Who knows? But I definitely want to do something with my hair, and I'll probably want to get some subtle red highlights. Surprisingly enough, my hair color is brown (most mistake it for black) and I actually have a few natural red hairs on my head!

So yeah, these are a few steps that I'm taking to help recreate a new me (well it's still the old me...but a little different!). Ed even wants to throw me a "coming out" party (very badly, if I might add), but I don't think I'll go that far. ::-) I'm very much looking forward to this.

Thanks Timmy! You're the greatest.
