For some time now, I've been tutor and guardian to a young boy with cancer. Many of you have sent encouragement and prayers to him, and I ask that you do so once again.

Sammy will be flying up with his family on Tuesday to Olympia, Washington, (state) USA. On Thursday, he'll be getting a bone marrow transplant. The operation itself isn't all that dangerous. The main thing we all are hoping for is just that the transplant takes. It's a subtle thing, but one that is fairly important.

I ask that you simply keep Sammy (Tyger) in your prayers and thoughts. He is like a kid brother to me, maybe even like a son. His generation needs more kids like him, brave, honest, honorable, creative, humorous, curteous and respectful. He is a member of this forum, and so he's one of us as well. He's a natural leader and has a genuine concern for everyone he meets. Such rare lights need our nuturing, my brothers, so that the next generation wont suffer as we have.

I thank you for your considerations, your prayers and your thoughts. With any luck, all of it will pay off and our Tyger will be whole again. You have no idea how much I truly appreciate everything that you have done so far.
