Does anyone know what can cause fainting/blacking out?

The Sunday before last i was at the driving range and i came extremely close to blacking/passing out at least six times. Somehow i managed to stop it everytime either by getting a drink of water or squatting down. I figure it could have been because i was hungry (and not aware of it?) or thirsty, or maybe overheated since i had 2 shirts on.

It happened again the day before yesterday when i caddied for my dad at some pro-am. Apparently the pro's caddy was getting worried because i kept bending over the golf bag with my head down. I think that day the total of near black outs was around 4 and stopped once we got to the back 9. It was hot out i think it might have gotten to 90+ degrees (i wasn't hot though) and i had 2 shirts on again.

So, can anyone figure out what may have caused this?
