This message is to us all, and most importantly to our younger members.
At this time of year we become less "private" for many good reasons, and real addresses are exchanged.
Please be sure, before you exchange a street address, that the person with whom you are making the trade is trustworthy and is the person they represent themselves to be.
Please do not arrange meetings with anyone if you are in any doubt about them and their intentions. A true friend will understand a hesitation.
Please remember that it is unwise to meet except with a set of items like http://iomfats.org/oddsandends/meeting/goldenrules.html in mind and in operation. A good experience inthe past is no guarantee of a good experience in the future.
Please consider the legality of anything that you intend during a meeting, even if you are the younger person. No-one should be put in an unfair position with his friends or the law.
I have had many successful meetings with online friends and so far no bad experiences. But I am not exactly the type of person that is preyed on by a predator. Tubby 50 somethings are not normally desired by predators.
Please simply take this as a seasonal warning to stay sensible in your dealings online
