Greetings-

What would we talk about tonight? The field is littered with the usual suspects. Working in a port, the news of the day would be good fodder for me. Xenophobia should be a real hit here, the prejudices of the persecuted are the hardest to explain away, try as we might.

What can you say about the quality of Mercy in the age of terrorism? It does seem strained; forgive me Portia. My country is engaged in a great war, without admitting that there’ll be no end, and we have girded our loins and civil liberties in order to do battle, and I am afraid our loins and liberties will not survive the strife ahead.

Is it only me that wonders about the ethic of 20 percent of the population controlling 80 percent of the wealth and consuming an equal share of the energy — and thinking that it is their God given right?
