I'm suffering from irritability and mood swings. My voice is all over the place, and can vary from my normal pitch to an almost inaudible squeak within a single sentence. My body doesn't seem to fit me any longer, and I'm being incredibly clumsy. And I've started getting random errections for no reason at all (at all kinds of potentially embarrassing moments)!

Yup - I've given up smoking: it's part of the process of re-inventing myself that I (like some others here) am going through. I've been a smoker since I was nine (with a couple of years break aged 13-15) ... over forty years: I have never been a non-smoking adult.

Fun it ain't ! But with the help of an incredibly supportive (gay) smoking cessation group I think I'm gonna make it. In the meantime, please excuse any /even more than usual irritability or random meanderings and digressions in the posts I make!
