A peaceful presence fills me,
The clouds around me shifting,
I feel lightheaded, with a headache,
yet in a warm way, I celebrate
I'm glad that I am me, and that I have all of you,
I'm not just the same old person like I was before,
always yelling at myself for past mistakes,
I'm someone new, someone better, and that makes me happy,
so here's something to keep you warm on cold days,
something to warm you when you're cold at night,
just a little prayer, from a little boy,
who sleeps in my bed, while its raining on my head
Raindrops touch me, fill me with glee,
How happy am I, how happy I will be..
to know that you're here, to keep me warm,
to know that I can talk to you, when my days are as cold as the storm,
thats outside my bedroom window, wanting to come in,
but you closed the doors to that beast of cold,
so now he cannot come in.
He wants to be free, to lets make him coffee,
to warm his cold and broken heart,
so that he and I will never be apart.
He is like you, in a way,
I look up to you, and I know that you will always stay,
by my side, until I die,
so please mommy, please daddy, dont leave me all alone,
but even when you're gone, I know that you and I will come
