OK, this is Brits only I guess.

One side plot was abouyt a kid of 14 who was injured badly in a (gay?) nightclub. I didn't see the start, I was channel flitting.

He was with his boyfrined who was over 16 (age of consent here is 16). The older friend didn't know the kid's age, though itwas pretty obvious to look at him. Incidentally the actor was cute as hell!

When the age was revealed the older lad recoiled in horror and ran out on him burbling about "You're too young, were you going to tell me after my name was on the Sex Offenders Register!!??"

Which brings me to a serious question.

Is this likely to be true to life with gay teens nowadays?

The reason I ask is that, as the older teen, I would not have behaved that way, "secure" in my knowledge that my love/affection/lust was perfect and woudl surpass all legal requirements.
