FYI..... Most that know me know I majored in philosophy but most that know me don't know that I excelled in astronomy ans the related physics of that field..... Over the years I managed to keep up with things and recently a friend, now in school asked if I could construct a model of the solar system for him.

I said I would try.....

To be fair, I have to admit, I did use a data base if information compiled by a friend in the field... Otherwise the project would have taken 2 years to complete.

I finished it today. In real time (with a calabrated accelerator) it projects movement of all the planets (moons included), comets of note, asteroids of close proximity, satelites of note (including the track of the Cassini project spacecraft) as well as respective position within the celestial globe and in relation to projected positioning to stars with a magnatude of 7.83 or greater. With proper input perspective can be varied to any location specifying any other celestial body within the framework of the bodies included as well as a variable for distance from the object of choice.

I finished the model Friday evening..... I took a good solid shot of vodka and hit "run"

I ran the model at a rate of 1,000,000 x real time and to the date of about 4500ad.......

And it works!!!!!

YAY.....

I patched up a video clip of a section of the run time model but it failed to be compatible for incertion here:-/ I did however take a still from the video.....

Oh well.... 3 months part time effort didnt go for nothing... Thats what counts.... Surprised
