There is someone who used to visit this forum regularly, but has not posted anything here for more than a year. He is now in his mid-70's and he lives in the UK. We met when I was last in the UK, a few years ago.
I spoke to him on the phone a couple of weeks ago: he was awaiting the results of a biopsy on his leg. I spoke to him again today: the biopsy and all the blood tests were OK. Nevertheless, the doctors think that there is something wrong (and threatening) with his leg and in all probability at the beginning of next month he will have his femur (and possibly his knee) replaced with a steel rod.
He signs his posts on this forum as "Mike". Please keep Mike in your thoughts (and in your prayers, if you are that way inclined).
Thanks.
J F R
The paradox has often been noted that the United States, founded in secularism, is now the most religiose country in Christendom, while England, with an established church headed by its constitutional monarch, is among the least. (Richard Dawkins, 2006)
