The last academic essay of my life is written!
(Well, unless I go to film school in a year or two, and do an MA, which is a definite possibility.)
I have a few hours of fine tuning for a few bits of work before submission, but aside from that my degree is over... I can hardly believe it! No more exams, no more nothing. Provided I get the essays in, I could walk out tomorrow and still get my degree.
Now, what to do next?
I've got a couple of personal projects on the boil, but the department isn't ready to hear about them, as the academic deadlines haven't passed yet. One is a commission to shoot promotional material for the college; the other a short film of my own.
Are any of you looking for a young cinematographer to light and shoot a film for you? (Or do you know anyone else who is?)
I've uploaded a short showreel to my web site. It's not quite finished yet, but I'm still in the process of re-orientating the site from a (slightly unexciting) personal site to a professional one.
Finally, I will (of course) be job-hunting, but I don't have to get too stressed right at the moment, as term doesn't finish until mid-June. If an ideal job comes along now, then I can take it -- if not, I keep looking.
