At my age! Socrates said that when your sex drive diminishes with age that you are "released from the jaws of a wild beast" and from the demands of "a cruel and despotic master". And I thought I had reached that stage.
Yesterday I was sitting beside the pool (doesn't matter where). A young man caught my eye. He must have been about 19 or 20. He was wearing coloured bermuda shorts and was - I thought - strikingly handsome. Certainly for me he was eye candy. Later, in the dining room, he came dressed in a pair of black slacks that fitted his body very snugly. They especially showed off his delectable butt to great advantage.
Why am I writing this and bothering you with it? I really don't know. Maybe it's just to share with you the fleeting pleasure at the sudden and unexpected return of the "cruel and despotic master" - even if only for one afternoon.
Forgive these inane ramblings.

The paradox has often been noted that the United States, founded in secularism, is now the most religiose country in Christendom, while England, with an established church headed by its constitutional monarch, is among the least. (Richard Dawkins, 2006)
